Firewheel Golf Park in Garland offers three courses; Bridges, Lakes, and Old, each course featuring distinctly different challenges and amenities.Plan a multi-day retreat to experience all three of the courses. Two new hotels, Hyatt Place and Holiday Inn, are located within a mile of the course.
The Bridges Course, established in 2001, has three different and unique nines: The Masters, The Champions and The Traditions – all three boast bent grass greens. The sculpted fairways are lined with oak and pecan trees. Spring Creek and Rowlett Creek meander throughout. Garland golf enthusiasts agree, any choice of nines provides the skillful golfer with a solid test.
The Lakes Course is a difficult, challenging 18 hole golf course. Around Firewheel we like to say, “if the Bridges course has teeth, the Lakes Course has fangs.” With ten lakes, water figures into many shots. And if the water doesn’t get you, the sand just might with 52 bunkers sprinkled generously over the rolling hills.
The Old Course, established in 1983, the topography on the Old Course consists of gently rolling terrain with slow moving streams winding throughout the course. Strategically placed bunkers and heavily wooded areas makes this course a challenge for all level.
