Our rich historic past includes the Santa Fe railroad and Chisholm Trail Outdoor Museum. Visit the outdoor museum and see the oldest log courthouse in Texas, built in 1854, or take a picture in a stagecoach used in several John Wayne movies and walk the actual land where the Chisholm Trail once Golf Course - Cleburne, TXwas used to move millions of cattle to rail yards in Oklahoma and Kansas.

You can visit one of the few remaining Carnegie Library buildings built in 1905 that houses the Layland Museum of History and learn about historic life in Johnson County. Stop by our quaint downtown area and stroll around our square. There you’ll find the Johnson County courthouse built in 1913 in all of it’s grandeur.

The Depot at Cleburne Station is the home of the Cleburne Railroaders a new minor league baseball team and FC Cleburne a premier soccer league. The Depot is one of the most unique professional baseball stadiums with its railroad theme and intimate setting. The stadium will hold over 4,000 spectators and will also be hosting concerts, events & more.
