Fredericksburg Pie Company
108 E. Austin Street

Fredericksburg Pie Company bakes the best pies you will ever have, period. This family owned and operated gem bakes each pie daily and from scratch, with a mission “to serve pie that is as good as, or better than, our mothers and grandmothers made.” They sure can back up that bold statement, too! We recommend their buttermilk pie for love at first bite.

Clear River Ice Cream, Deli, and Bakery Shop
138 E. Main Street

This 1950s-inspired parlor features a great selection of pastries, deli items, and heavenly homemade ice cream. Their small batches allow them to provide a wide range of flavors, and even with thirty-five options available every day, that menu still rotates. Once you try their award-winning Mexican vanilla or amaretto, peach & pecan flavors, you’ll see why Clear River is an award-winner.

Chocolat
251 W. Main Street

As if chocolate couldn’t get any better, this shop sells amazing pairings of dark chocolate and alcohol using cast liquid centers. This European method results in a thin chocolate crust and lots of filling, separated only by a slim sugar barrier that keeps all flavors intact. Fillings range from wine and top shelf spirits to coffee and fruit nectar, so good luck picking just one! Peach schnapps and port are great places to start, though.

Fredericksburg Fudge & Sundries
218 E. Main Street

Fredericksburg Fudge & Sundries opened in 1981 with a time-tested fudge recipe that they continue to use to this day, down to mixing everything together in copper pots. In fact, this is the only place in town where you can get fudge made from scratch! It’s a much longer process, but it gives you a treat that’s rich, buttery, and oh-so-decadent.

Lone Star Candy Bar
254 E. Main Street

Lone Star Candy Bar is full of eye-catching novelties, tons of fudge, chocolate-covered you-name-it, a huge Jelly Belly dispenser, and the rest of the sweets encyclopedia. Ever wanted to try chocolate-covered pickles or bacon? You can try both here. By the time you leave, your sweet tooth is bound for be satisfied for the remainder of the month, if not longer.
