What better way to show mom gratitude than with a mariachi music festival? This Mother’s Day weekend, the Mariachi Loco Music Festival is coming to El Paso as a tribute to this special holiday. Fully equipped with mariachis, amazing ropers, celebrity impersonators, and folklore dancers, the festival will be stocked with entertainment for all the family to enjoy. Local vendors will also be available throughout the festival selling delicious food and beautiful artwork making for the perfect treats.
This is the first real mariachi festival El Paso has had in years, and the city hopes to rightfully commemorate the tradition and history of mariachi music by bringing together ten of the best groups in town as well as some high-school mariachi bands – all while serenading the mothers in the crowd. Bands will be playing all through the festival starting at 4 PM Friday, 1 PM Saturday, and 11 AM Sunday. To continue livening things up throughout the nights, live salsa music will be performed guaranteeing to keep the party going.
The festival is held in the heart of downtown El Paso at Oregon and Mills streets and starts on the 8th, setting the course for a three-day music filled event. Tickets can be bought online or purchased at the gate, and moms get in free within the first two hours of the gates opening.
